TheCFObox LLC ("TheCFObox," "we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information in connection with your use of our website and software products.
This policy covers the TheCFObox website and the Software. It does not cover consulting, advisory or accounting services.
Where TheCFObox is separately engaged to perform such services, personnel may be granted direct access to Subscriber's accounting systems — for example as an invited accountant user in QuickBooks Online. That access is a service relationship, not a function of the Software. It is granted by you, revocable by you, and is governed by the confidentiality terms of the applicable Master Services Agreement rather than by this policy. Statements below about what the Software does and does not transmit describe the Software only.

The Forevercaster runs on a server instance — either one you control or one provisioned on your behalf. In both cases:
This is a property of the self-hosted architecture. It is not a policy we could quietly reverse — the data is simply not accessible to us.
To confirm that an instance holds a valid subscription, the Software periodically contacts a validation service we operate. Each request contains:
We log these checks to confirm entitlement, to detect a license being used on more than one instance, and to notice when an instance has stopped responding. No financial data is transmitted.
The Software reports simple usage counts — for example the number of sessions, scenarios run, forecast updates or report views in a given day. We use these to support you, to identify instances that have stopped working before you have to tell us, and to improve the product.
Counts only. Telemetry never includes account names, balances, transactions, customer or vendor information, or any figure derived from your books. Someone reading our telemetry can see that a forecast was run. They cannot see anything about what it said.
Where a channel partner referred you, we may share adoption-level summaries — such as whether the tool is being used actively — with that partner in support of your engagement. These summaries contain no financial information.
All payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. TheCFObox never receives or stores your payment card information. Stripe's privacy policy is available at stripe.com/privacy.
The Forevercaster connects to QuickBooks Online on your behalf using Intuit's OAuth 2.0 authorization. The OAuth token is stored on your server instance only — TheCFObox does not store, receive, or have access to your QuickBooks credentials or authorization tokens.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties except:

We retain contact and billing information for as long as your subscription is active and for a reasonable period thereafter for legal and accounting purposes. Validation and telemetry records are retained for operational and audit purposes and are deleted on a rolling basis. You may request deletion of your personal information by contacting us.
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal information we hold. Your financial data is protected by the security of the server instance on which the Software runs.

Our products are business tools and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify active Subscribers of material changes by email. Continued use of our services after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
