TheCFObox LLC ("TheCFObox," "we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information in connection with your use of our website and software products.

    The short version: Your financial data never touches our infrastructure. We collect only what's necessary to operate our business and communicate with you. We do not sell, license, or monetize your data in any form.
  

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide to us:

Name, email address, and company name when you contact us or schedule a discovery call
Billing information processed by Stripe (we never see or store your payment card details)
Communications you send to us by email

Information collected automatically:

Basic website analytics (page views, referral source) via Cloudflare — no personal identifiers
IP address for security and fraud prevention purposes

2. Your Financial Data

The Forevercaster software runs on a DigitalOcean server instance — either one you control or one we provision on your behalf. In both cases:

Your financial data resides exclusively on that server
TheCFObox has no technical access to your financial data
We do not receive, copy, process, or store your QuickBooks data or financial records
We do not use your financial data for any purpose, including AI training, analytics, or product improvement

This is a technical reality of the self-hosted architecture. It is not a policy we could easily reverse — your data is simply not accessible to us.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

Communicate with you about your subscription and account
Process payments through Stripe
Provide technical support
Send product updates and announcements (you may opt out at any time)
Comply with legal obligations

4. Stripe and Payment Processing

All payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. TheCFObox never receives or stores your payment card information. Stripe's privacy policy is available at stripe.com/privacy. By using our payment services, you agree to Stripe's terms.

5. QuickBooks Integration

The Forevercaster connects to QuickBooks Online on your behalf using Intuit's OAuth 2.0 authorization. The OAuth token is stored on your server instance only — TheCFObox does not store, receive, or have access to your QuickBooks credentials or authorization tokens.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties except:

Stripe — for payment processing
Resend — for transactional email delivery
Cloudflare — for website hosting and security
Legal requirements — if required by law, court order, or governmental authority

None of these parties receive your financial data.

7. Data Retention

We retain your contact and billing information for as long as your subscription is active and for a reasonable period thereafter for legal and accounting purposes. You may request deletion of your personal information by contacting us at hello@thecfobox.com.

8. Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information. Your financial data is protected by the security of your own server infrastructure.

9. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access the personal information we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate information
Request deletion of your personal information
Opt out of marketing communications

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify active Subscribers of material changes by email. Continued use of our services after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
